Third Edition Realised

The third edition of Grandma’s House was released yesterday on the 25th of November! After spending four fours folding, sorting and stapling all 100 copies I am proud to announce that it was received with welcome arms from felt, landspeed, Smiths Books Store, Essen CafĂ©, Impact Comics and Freestyle Tattoo. They will also be available at itrip I skip when I get around to walking to Braddon.
The new Edition looks fantastic thanks to the art of Feona A and the with everything running smoothly I hope to have the next issue out at the end of January- I need a bit of a brake for Christmas.

EATYRSELFFF

The third issue of Grandmas House is ALMOST complete!(even after some blunders)
Get excited kids, the new issue contains some delicious new treats which includes movie reviews, spring themes and a fold out Movemeber poster. Everything is coming into place but we do have a few pages spare and getting all the fabulous art work and photography by Feona A. and Greg Mills has been a little hard because both these artists have so much to choose from.

Also a new Zine has come to town by my fascinating friend Hannah C. called EATYRSELFFF and there is a little blurb about this up and coming publication in our third edition so keep your eyes peeled lads.
Check out her stuff:

Assassins88 and My Friends Roof.

An Update:

The third issue will be held up for a couple of weeks as things are getting a little messy with this whole grant business. When money gets involved everyone goes a little crazy it seems.

Assassins88 have agreed to do an interview which is fantastic as they just celebrated their recent EP launch on Halloween.
Listen to them Here ON MYSPACE.

Also! Everyone should look out for an upcoming Zine called ‘My Friends Roof’ who is produced by the gorgeous Sophie Lou so keep a look out for this bundle of joy to soon hit the Canberra streets!

Little Beats and Grass Stains

Last Night Grandma's House was so proud to be apart of the launch of the Little Beats Zine Distro at the ItripIskip party "Grass Stains 2". It was a fantastic night with a great turn out and the lovely ladies from little beats were particularly amazing (even though they let me spend $40 on other zines). I was such a great night, check them out!

Cover for Issue three

We have met an amazing artist Feona from Lake Tuggernong College who has agreed to let us use her art for our next issue. So I want you guys to get involved and tell me which of these amazing pictures should be the front and back covers and the rest will be on the inside in black and white. Just comment or leave me a facebook message. To view all her fantastic work click HERE!

Grandma's House Recived a Grant

After realizing the second issue of Grandma’s House I (Sophie) was very excited to receive a letter from the Australian Government informing that I was to receive a $1000 grant for the next edition of Grandma’s House. However with the next issue I would like to get things more organized and will FINALLY keep this blog updated from the third issue onwards.
I would like to apologize to anyone that actually reads this blog searching for current information on the G.H where abouts and from now on I will try and post weekly.

Lots of Love, Sophie
